Dr Bertus Gericke is a KwaZulu-Natal North Coast–based orthopaedic surgeon with more than 10 years of clinical experience in the management of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions affecting the hip, knee, pelvis, and lower limb.


He has a particular interest in lower-limb reconstruction, complex orthopaedic trauma, hip preservation, primary hip and knee replacement, and revision joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Bertus Gericke earned his medical degree from the University of Pretoria in 2000 and subsequently worked in the United Kingdom as a Medical Officer and General Practitioner. After returning to South Africa, he practised general medicine before pursuing specialist orthopaedic training, qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2019.

With a particular interest in complex trauma, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and lower-limb reconstruction, Dr Bertus Gericke highlights evidence-based treatment and clear, patient-centred care.
